Born and raised in Knoxville. I did not get into construction to collect checks. I got in to build a reputation.
I started at 18 with a landscaping company and a gut feeling I was not made to work for someone else. Landscaping led to grading and retaining walls. Grading led to concrete. Concrete led to pools, and pools lit a fire. Black Sheep became a licensed Tennessee general contractor and a full-service building operation with roots in the ground.
The name is not an accident. Most contractors in this market sub out the hard parts and hope. We own the equipment, run the crew, and answer the phone ourselves. That is different, on purpose.
